'Ready to Ship' Dresses
We keep a selection of dresses in stock that are ready to be shipped immediately. These dresses can be returned within 28 days of purchase for an exchange or full refund (minus postage). You are required to contact us within 14 days of receiving the dress to discuss returning the item.
Standard Sized Dresses
Our standard sized dresses (besides those in our 'ready to ship') are still individually made to order. We also use vintage and reclaimed fabrics which we have a limited supply of each.
These two factors mean that we really encourage our customers to be as sure as possible before ordering the dress as we will be making it specially for you. This means considering the fabric and style combination as well as checking their measurements against our sizing information.
However, if the dress is made in a standard size then it can be returned for an exchange or refund (minus postage costs) if it doesn't fit, within 28 days of the dress being received. You are required to contact us within 14 days of receiving the dress to discuss returning the item.
Made to Measure Dresses
The made to measure dresses are made to fit your specific measurements and can be returned for adjustments. The fit of the dress will depend on the accuracy of your measurements and therefore it is sometimes the case that a made to measure dress will benefit from a little tweak/adjustment after it has been received. If this is the case, you may find it easiest to have this done by a local dressmaker but you are also very welcome to return the dress back to us for a free adjustment if you prefer. Made to measure items are non-refundable.
Filling out your Customs Form
If returning your item from outside the EU, you are required to fill out a customs form. This is available at your local post office. You need to mark the package as a 'return'- this means that we won't be charged import tax on the item. If you mis-label the package which results in a customs charge we will deduct this from your refund amount.
A Note on *Postage Costs* for Returned Items.
We offer the option of returning our standard size dresses- even though we are not legally required to offer a refund on custom made items. We also offer returns on our 'ready to ship' dresses.
The reason we offer to refund the total cost of the items, but not the postage fees is because after we have sent the package to a customer, we do not get a refund from the post office if this item is returned to us.
Although some companies might absorb these costs, we are a small independent business which means we do not have the kind of profit margins that large companies have available, which means seemingly small costs like this can really make an impact on our sustainability as a small business!
Of course, if we have mistakenly sent a dress which is faulty we will make a full refund and will be more than happy to cover the postage in full.
