Because we use vintage and reclaimed fabrics this means that we're often surprised by the range of fantastically unusual one-off fabrics we find! This fabric is particularly unusual - the overall effect of the fabric is a sumptuous plum, but when you view the dress close up you will see that the weave is created using strong navy and red threads.
The shape is an original Dig For Victory pattern, with the curved outlines of the fitted bodice and bust section highlighted with cherry red piping, which matches the ribbon which gathers the bust. The cinched in waist and bustier neckline make it perfect for showing off an hourglass figure, and the dress has fitted tulip skirt for a timeless classic style. Finished with fitted elbow length sleeves and because the fabric is thick and warm, this would make a brilliant dress for the colder months.
Alternatively, you can choose another vintage fabric from our collection and have a dress custom made.
